What is Mesotherapy And How Many Treatments Do You Need

Mesotherapy is also called Lipo Dissolve or LipoTherapy. This is a way to get rid of stubborn fat pockets that can be injected. You may not have heard of Mesotherapy, but it has been used to eliminate fat since the 1950s.

But today, we’re not only discovering that. The Better Body Shop MedSpa will guide you through other details about Mesotherapy. How it works, and how many treatments you will need to solve those unwanted issues.

Check out these details below!

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy works on many body parts, like the stomach, arms, thighs, chin, glutes, hips, the area under the eye, and back. Plastic and cosmetic surgeons, Medical Spas, and other Aesthetic doctors use Mesotherapy often.

Many well-known procedures use this method of getting rid of localized fat by injecting solutions under the skin. Some doctors add extra treatments to make them more effective. But with injection-based lipolysis, you can treat the following areas:

  • The upper and lower belly
  • Thighs
  • Upper arms
  • There are fat rolls below the bra line.
  • “Love handles”
  • Saddlebags
  • Two chins
  • Residual fat deposits post-liposuction
  • Cellulite

The solution is injected into the fat layers and connective tissue during treatment. The injection doesn’t hurt much, but some prefer a numbing cream.

In combination with the way the body works, the medicine causes a chemical reaction that hardens the walls of fat cells and starts to break down localized areas of fat.

After three weeks, you should be able to see the effects of each injection. You often need more than one treatment, spaced out by four to six weeks, to get a good result.

What’s Good About Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy can instantly improve dull and tired skin and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. It can also help speed up blood flow, allowing the body to eliminate toxins that make you look older.

This treatment can also eliminate hyperpigmentation, clear up acne, and make the skin look glowing from the inside out. Mesotherapy vitamin cocktails can encourage the skin’s fibroblast cells to produce more collagen, which helps fight the signs of aging.

Some plant-based ingredients injected into the skin are vitamins, growth factors, Hyaluronic acid, peptides, antioxidants, and trace elements. These ingredients create the perfect environment for healthy skin that can better deal with aging.

A mesotherapy cocktail might have over 50 active ingredients that feed, repair and refresh the skin. It’s a good idea if you need a quick fix for an event, and you can do it with anti-wrinkle injections and fillers.

The Purpose of Mesotherapy

Again, Mesotherapy improves the body, hair, and cellulite. Different cocktail mixtures make collagen and give the skin and hair a healthy look.

  • It keeps the skin hydrated, renews it, and tightens it.
  • It repairs and rebuilds the skin.
  • Guards the skin
  • Boosts the skin’s glow and hydration.
  • It helps the skin heal.
  • Helps with acne and scars
  • It gives a light right away

How Many Treatments Will You Need?

You may need more than one mesotherapy session to get the desired results. You might have to go back to the doctor anywhere from 3 to 15 times.

At first, the injections will be every 7 to 10 days. If your skin starts to get better, you’ll only have to go in for treatments every two weeks or once a month.

The Component of Mesotherapy

Phosphatidylcholine, multivitamins, and saline are the main things that are used. Phosphatidylcholine is a natural lecithin made from the soy plant. It comprises two unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid.

The body makes phosphatidylcholine (PPC), but the version made by the body has saturated fatty acids (Palmitic-, Oleic- and Stearic-acid ).

It is in the membranes of all cells. It is found naturally, for example, in the lungs of a developing fetus after the fourth month. In this case, it is full of Palmitic acid, which lets the lungs expand and contract and keeps them from sticking together.

It acts like a lubricant in the intestines to keep them from sticking together. For PPC to be injected, it needs a solvent that is also a detergent. Deoxycholic acid breaks up fats so they can be absorbed in the intestine.

When skinny needles are used to inject the agent into fatty tissue, the double layer of the fat cell membrane swells and hardens. The agent, which works like a detergent, starts breaking down the fat, turning the fat cells into nano-sized fat particles.

Areas For Treatment

At The Better Body Shop MedSpa, we cover Mesotherapy for different body parts. These are the following:

Chin

To get rid of the bothersome “double chin.” We use Lipo dissolve to treat both the side of the chin and the middle of the chin. Depending on how much fat is under the chin, this type of injection needs to be done three to three and a half times at first.

Arms

It can be frustrating to have stubborn fat on your arms, but Lipo dissolve helps you lose fat in both arms in unique ways. We suggest that you go to at least four sessions.

Neck, Belly, Hips, and Love Handles

It can be hard to lose weight, but not anymore! You can use Lipo Dissolve with any other treatment for shaping the body, such as our medical weight loss program.

The Ideal Candidates

This procedure is not done on pregnant or nursing women, people who are very overweight, or people who have diabetes, autoimmune diseases, vascular complications, or any infection. It’s important to remember that injection lipolysis is not a way to lose weight.

Aftercare Procedure

Patients need to eat well, keep their hormone levels in check, and exercise regularly. Suppose you need to lose weight with medical help or get your hormones balanced. In that case, healthcare experts suggest doing either or both as part of your overall treatment plan. Your treatment will only take a short time to work.

Does Mesotherapy Hurt?

A numbing cream is put on your skin. The treatment takes about 20 minutes.

Side Effects of Injections for Mesotherapy

Some short-term side effects of the injections include minor bruising, pain, and swelling, which can be treated as needed.
